A yucky cold and no luck on chemo. Tried again today but liver function numbers weren’t great, platelets were 25 vs 30 minimum needed, and neutrophils still low. One decent note…tumor markers went down for first time in 6 months. So three more days of neupogen to boost the neutrophils and another go at chemo on Tuesday.
Hoping my voice is back on track for Neck of the Woods at 8am on May 31st. We will be winging it a bit, but can promise a good evening!
This quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson struck me day : Finish each day and be done with it. “You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”
How fabulous. It holds in it room for forgiveness and self compassion, a fresh start, and a sense of humor.
Have a fabulous long weekend. I’m reading Desert Solitaire about a ranger in Arches and Zion and then When Paris Dazzled looking at Paris post WWI thru the 30s. We are sad about Thea but know it was her time, and my brother hasn’t adopted a fabulous German shepherd who I will pretend is the new soul home for Thea.
